This is the gentle gallop on the way to the race start. It serves to loosen the muscles of the horse and also provides spectators with an opportunity to obtain a final impression of the condition of the runners. Because it can be very informative, it is something that you should not miss.
Each race horse owner has his own racing colors (aka silks). The racing color combination is selected by the owners themselves, but must be in keeping with the specifications of the sport’s governing body.
