These molding compounds are thermoplastic hotmelts based on polyamide. The products of the Macromelt 6 series are exciting not only technically, but also ecologically as they are produced from renewable raw materials. No chemical reactions take place during application and no solvents are released.

The hotmelts of the Macromelt product groups are processed at temperatures of 180°C to 240°C and have a temperature application range of -40°C to +140°C. Adhesion to PA, PBT, PVC and similar polar adhesives is very good.

Macromelt OM 710
Macromelt OM 710 is distinguished by its exceptional mechanical properties. With a Shore hardness of D 40, it produces a plastic-like surface, which is achieved by its high crystalline shares. Macromelt OM 710 has extremely good chemical strength and an excellent adhesion to PVC.

Products for unleaded PVC-cable according to "EU end of life vehicle regluation"
By the center of next year the automotive manufacturers are obligated to install unleaded components in their cars. For this reason automotives tend to unleaded PVC-cable. This cables don't always harmonize with the known Hotmelt adhesives.

Due to our good contacts to the automotive industry Henkel is able to present new products for the applications of unleaded PVC-cable now.

First of all Henkel developed two material types. Macromelt 6208 N/NS for
temperature application area T 2 ( - 40° until + 100 °C) and
Macromelt OM 674/679 for temperature application area T 3 (- 40° until + 140°C).
