Awards and Recognitions

Henkel has been honored a further three times as a leading proponent of sustainability in its sector – both within Germany and in comparison with its international peers. And the company has also taken top positions in recent online sustainability communication rankings.

Henkel has been honored for its work with Spanish universities and research centers: The Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation (FCRI) and the Government of the Autonomous Government of Catalonia (Generalitat de Catalunya) accorded the “Research Award 2012” in the category of the public-private partnership to Henkel, the Chemical Research Institute of Tarragona (ICIQ) and the University of Barcelona (UAB).

In a major recognition for its commitment to sustainability, Henkel in the Gulf region (GCC) was conferred the 5th Arabia Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award. Henkel won the second price for its efforts in spearheading sustainable business practices.

For the sixth consecutive year, Henkel has been listed as sector leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI World) and Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe (DJSI Europe). Henkel again took first place in the Nondurable Household Products category and remains the only company in its sector to feature in both the DJSI World and the DJSI Europe. The Indexes list corporations that follow the principles of sustainable development in their business operations.

Henkel Turkey has won the Gold award of Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group, for their 2011 Top Quality in the general industry sector.

In its “2011 Vision Awards”, the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP) awarded the 2011 Henkel Annual Report with the highest possible distinction: Platinum. The Henkel Annual Report 2011 scored 99 out of 100 points.

Henkel in Mexico has been awarded the Great Place to Work certification, based on an analysis conducted on the employees.

Henkel Greece and the Dixan brand have been recognized for their outstanding annual best practices and their CSR engagements with the Excellence Awards.

Henkel has recently been chosen by the British company Rexam plc, the world’s largest beverage can manufacturer, to receive its prestigious “Supplier of the Year” award. This honor was conferred on Henkel by Rexam BCE&A (Beverage Can Europe & Asia) in recognition of Henkel’s contributions, including its latest product innovations and the savings achieved in Rexam’s overall production process.

In recognition of Henkel’s efforts and dedication to deliver best-in-class performance and fill rate, Henkel received the Vendor of the Year award at Rona Corporation’s President’s Speech event held in late 2011.

Henkel Croatia is currently among the most acclaimed companies by students for the second consecutive year, after clinching the Golden Index Grand Prix and Golden Index awards in two categories.

Walmart Mexico and Central America recognizes Henkel in Mexico as "Best Consumables Supplier" of the year 2011 for its sales performance and its dedication to sustainability which is reflected in its products.

Henkel ranks among the top 20 most admired companies in Europe, in this year’s annual survey conducted by the American business magazine Fortune. Compared to the previous years, the results show a significant improvement in this year’s rankings at the European level.

Henkel has yielded laudable results in varying Sustainability Rankings, like the „Global 100 Most Sustainable Companies“ and in the „Sustainability Yearbook 2012“.

In a ceremony held at the Alte Oper in Frankfurt last night, Henkel CEO Kasper Rorsted was awarded with the HORIZONT Award. The Award recognizes personalities from marketing, advertisement and media, who have distinguished themselves through their entrepreneurial spirit, commitment and the significant achievements they have made in the industry. Rorsted received the prize in the marketing category.
