A distribution structure for cosmetic products has been operating in Kazakhstan since the year 1993. The detergents business in the region was launched in 2004. Just two years later, in 2006, Henkel opened a regional headquarters for marketing and sales in Almaty. The top brands are Bref, Deni, Diadermine, Fa, Gliss Kur, Liofol, Loctite, Losk, Palette, Pemolux, Persil, Perwoll, Pril, Vernel, Syoss, Schauma, Taft and Teroson. Henkel Bautechnik was established in 2006. Its key brands are Ceresit, Makroflex, Metylan, Moment and Thomsit. The first Bautechnik production facility in Kazakhstan was put into operation in 2008.
