Back in 1970, Henkel already cooperated with Merima in the former Yugoslavia before acquiring the company in 2002. Henkel operates two production plants in Krusevac and Indjija for detergents and cleaners as well as adhesives. The brand portfolio in Serbia includes Bref, Ceresit, Deciji sapun, Glamur shampoo, Lik-o-San, Mer, Mer cleaners, Merix, Persil, Perwoll, Silan, Somat, Sudomil, Ten San and Thomsit. Another Ceresit factory was opened in Indjija in 2008.
