Henkel expands facility in Bien Hoa II

On January 10th 2009, the adhesives footwear business of Henkel had an opening ceremony celebrating the expanded new facility in Bien Hoa II. Henkel has invested additional USD 4million into the existing facility to double its capacity to 35,000 metric tons per annum and make the site as the key sourcing unit for Adhesive Shoe business for Vietnam, Korea and India, some of the key markets for the foot-wear business.

For the very first time in Vietnam, Henkel also organised a seminar for customers focusing on “Unique solutions for innovative bonding” for footwear industry. More than 100 customers attended the seminar organised at the Duxton hotel. Henkel presented its path forward i.e. to focus on nature friendly products, helping customers in total cost reduction, improving quality, performance and process improvement.
