Coatings
A layer of a substance applied onto a surface for protection or decoration; a covering layer. Coatings protect a substrate from a variety of environmental problems such as: corrosion of solder joints, moisture and mildew, fuels and process solvents, service temperatures, and dust, dirt and physical damage from handling.
Select application
Abrasion Resistant
A coating that resists scrapping and wearing and can thereby extend the life of the substrate.
Acoustic
Coatings that reduce sound
Pumpable Dampers
Heat cure and ambient cure sound deadeners
Underbody Coatings
Expandable heat cure
Anti-Chip
Coatings that reduce chipping or surface damage
Underbody Coatings
Heat cure product used for automotive underbodies. PVC or PVC free.
Side Sill / Rocker Panel
Heat cure product that is applied under the automaotive door / rocker area. PVC or PVC Free.
Anti-Corrosion Coatings
Coatings that prevent the development of a state of deterioration in metals caused by oxidation or chemical action.
Appearance Coatings
Coatings used to protect or modify base appearance
Autodeposition Coatings
Protective coating applied to metal parts by immersing them in a chemical bath where the deposition takes place by the diffusion of ions between the chemical and the metal surface; the process also self-seals itself wherever deposition took place on a metal surface.
Blemish Highlighting
Coatings used to highlight surface imperfections
Chemical Milling Processes
Chemical milling uses chemicals to etch away a metal surface to achieve lighter weight that is desired in aerospace. These products protect the part of the etchants such that the metal is etched away only in exposed areas.
Cleaners
Substances capable of removing dirt, grime or impurities.
Deoxidizers
A material that cleans the surface of rust or oxidation.
Maskants
Coating used to prevent the chemical milling process in the areas where applied.
Circuit Board Protection
Materials used in the manufacture of circuit boards that encapsulate or cover circuit board components
Low Pressure Molding
Low pressure molding is a polymide hot melt adhesive designed as a viable solution to encapsulate printed crcuit boards (PCB). Applications include small circuit boards for consumer electronics.
Epoxy Based
A one-part heat curable or two-part room temperature curable system.
Conformal Coatings
Protective coatings designed to protect printed circuit boards (PCB) that may be exposed to harsh environmental conditions. Typical applications include automotive systems, telecom central offices and cellular base stations.
Diluant
To dilute conformal coatings.
Silicone
One-component adhesive / sealant that cures to a tough rubbery solid upon exposure to moisture in the air, heat or light.
Urethane
One or two-part adhesives that provide high strength bonds on a wide variety of substrates.
Cold Seal Coating
The act of fusing together two surfaces via a coating that typically seals to itself without the need for heat.
Corrosion Protection
Treatment used to prevent oxidation of metallic components.
Electronic Powder Coatings
Powder coating of electrical components.
Finishing Coatings
Flooring
Coatings used to protect or modify floors.
General Industrial
Coatings for a wide variety of heavy use applications.
Epoxy Coatings
Corrosion Protection Waxes
Dipable and sprayable waxes used to protect components and/or vehicles from enviornmental corrosive agents.
Urethane Coatings
Hot Seal Coating
The act of fusing together two surfaces via a coating that, with the use of heat and pressure, can seal to itself or to another surface.
Overprint Finishing Coatings
Technology for the printing and packaging marketplace.
Rust Treatments / Preventatives
Treatment used to stabilize/prevent oxidation of metallic components.
Sealing
A substance used to close or secure something, or to prevent seepage of moisture or air.
Cold
Adhesive coating on laminates or plastic films that is pressure sensitive and allows packages to be sealed with minimal or no heat pressure.
Hot
Adhesive coating that seals packages using heat pressure.
Side Sill / Rocker Panel
Heat cure product that is applied under the automaotive door / rocker area. PVC or PVC Free.
Temporary Coatings
Removable coatings used to temporarily protect parts and finished products from damage and scratches that might occur during the manufacturing process.
Temporary Maskants
Coating used to prevent the chemical milling process in the areas where applied.
Temporary Paint Booth
Coating used to prevent paint over spray from contacting equipment where applied.
Transit Coatings
Removable coatings used to protect parts and finished products from damage and scratches that might occur during transport or shipping.
Underbody Coatings
Heat cure product used for automotive underbodies. PVC or PVC free.
Wear-Resistant Coatings
Coating which improves the wear-resistance of metal parts.
Wear-Resistant High Impact
Rubber Modified to withstand higher impact force (shock strength)
Wear-Resistant Fast Cure
Fast Cure working time is 10 minutes
Wear-Resistant High Temperature
Temperature resistance of 230°C / 450F.
Wear-Resistant Trowelable
Applied by hand with a trowel
Weldable Coatings
Weldable coatings for coil material add value to the coil material by simplifying processes in the automotive paint shops and reducing the use of waxes and sealants.
