Henkel recognizes BASF as most sustainable supplier 2011
First “Henkel Sustainability Award” presented
Bruno Piacenza, Executive Vice President Laundry & Home Care at Henkel, presented the award to a BASF representative at the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Annual Meeting and Industry Convention in Orlando, Florida. “Innovative products and technologies are a fundamental basis for achieving more value with less resources. This idea is at the core of Henkel’s 2030 Sustainability Strategy. We are pleased to present the first ‘Henkel Sustainability Award’ to our long-term business partner BASF for their excellent contributions which have advanced the development of more sustainable products from Henkel in 2011.”
This successful cooperation with Henkel’s laundry and home care business resulted in a new, readily dissolvable formula for the automatic dishwashing tablets Somat 10. The ingredient allows faster powerful cleaning even in short dishwasher cycles at low washing temperatures.
In Henkel’s cosmetics and toiletries business BASF has developed a key ingredient for high-performing hair conditioners which helps to reduce the footprint of the production phase: The new formula that is used in conditioners under the Schauma brand can be processed even at low temperatures. That way, the innovative formula delivers better performance at a reduced environmental footprint.
