Through its corporate donations management program, Henkel supports national and international initiatives and public institutions with financial aid and/or in-kind- and product donations, especially at the Henkel sites. Political parties are excluded as recipients.

For example schools and education: Henkel invests in education and knowledge through worldwide initiatives to support students and trainees. These include student exchange projects, language courses for children with migration backgrounds, and prizes for universities.

The importance and the benefits of the natural sciences and technologies are unquestionable. We must reinforce their position in society and particularly in schools by motivating more children and youths with enthusiasm for science, because science and technology do play a key role in current changes in society – nationally and worldwide. They are essential for technological and societal changes as well as a basis for one’s livelihood. Furthermore, they are an important locational factor for the industry.

Each year Henkel in Düsseldorf, Germany, endows the Hugo Henkel Award.  The award honours school concepts that aim at the education in sciences and technology in secondary schools starting with grade 5. Every German site of the Henkel Group can participate.
