Tools & Media
Henkel has successfully produced and marketed brand-name products for more than 130 years. It is therefore fully aware that success depends on providing products and technologies that are precisely tailored to customers' wishes. This fundamental approach is equally relevant to the Company's communication with stakeholders.
We use a large number of communication instruments to satisfy the specific information needs of our stakeholders. We communicate detailed information and background material on the subject of sustainability through the Sustainability Report, the Internet and our intranet pages. Current events are published through press releases, consumer information channels or the employee newspaper.

Broadening Scope
Henkel began publishing an annual environmental report in 1992. Since then, focus and content have been continuously adjusted to meet growing information demands. In the mid-1990s, the report was systematically expanded to cover safety, health, environment and social commitment, and ultimately evolved into today’s annual Sustainability Report. The report is complemented by a wide range of other instruments, including an employee newspaper, press releases about important sustainability events, and articles that Henkel experts publish in textbooks and technical magazines.
In order to foster the dialogue with stakeholders and experts at the local and regional levels, Henkel publishes sustainability information in the languages of the different countries, such as the Italian and Chinese versions of the Sustainability Report.
Alongside the ongoing exchange of ideas with customers, employees, neighbors, government authorities and research institutes, Henkel has always maintained an intensive dialogue with analysts and investors.
The many sustainability ratings and inquiries by independent index providers, research institutes and specialized investment funds have now become a regular feature of day-to-day business. Henkel provides information about current assessments in the sustainability report and on the Internet.
Worldwide - Always accessible
No matter how many brochures and publications appear, they will never replace personal communication. Henkel actively seeks to engage in a wide-ranging dialogue with the public. At site and Group levels, interested parties can contact the appropriate person at Henkel directly via Internet, by mail or by telephone. Exchange on the local level is fostered through the open house days organized by the sites for the communities in which they operate. Henkel also maintains consumer hotlines to help and advise people calling with product-related questions. Questions, suggestions and constructive criticism - about the Company, a site or Henkel products - are always welcome.
