Henkel has been selected for the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the fourth time in a row. In the non-cyclical consumer goods and services category, Henkel leads the field in Europe and holds the number two position worldwide. The portfolio of this index is made up exclusively of companies that operate in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.
Henkel has been listed in both the worldwide index "DJSI World" and the European "DJSI STOXX". "We are delighted at this excellent recognition of our sustainability policy and performance from outside. They provide good confirmation that we are on the right course," says Dr. Wolfgang Gawrisch, Chief Technology Officer and Chairman of Henkel's Sustainability Council. "We are working hard to expand our Company-wide management system of safety, health, quality and environment to include sustainability by 2004. We are also keen to respond effectively and systematically to any indications in the ratings of potential areas of improvement."
