Henkel Mercosul, headquartered in São Paulo, has been honored as a company with outstanding social commitment. The award is conferred by the renowned business newspaper Exame. In addition to Henkel, ten more companies received awards. A total of 245 enterprises had entered the competition. The scores of the best companies were published in a Good Corporate Citizenship Guide.

Henkel in Brazil has been supporting social projects for many years. In fact, eight of the 125 children's projects sponsored by Henkel in its anniversary year 2001 are in Brazil. Since 2000, Henkel has also been one of the main sponsors of the "Von Martius Environment Award," which is conferred annually on young scientists in cooperation with the Brazilian Ministry of Education.
