With its sponsorship of the Women’s Handball World Championship in France, Henkel has now moved into professional women’s sports. Handball ranks among the most popular ball games in the world. The XVIII Women’s Handball World Championship takes place from December 2 – 16, 2007. The tournament, in which a total of 24 teams will compete against each other, will be held in 11 French cities. The finalists will compete for the championship title at Palais Omnisports in Paris-Bercy. At the handball matches, the referees will wear jerseys displaying the Henkel slogan “A Brand like a Friend“. Moreover, the perimeter advertising will feature the Henkel logo.
