The jury honored the manufacturer of branded consumer products with two silvers and one bronze award, as well as a special “Honors” prize. The award ceremony now took place in New York.

Henkel was honored with four awards at the 20th annual International Mercury Excellence Awards gala ceremony held in New York. Henkel achieved a fourfold success in the corporate design and corporate identity categories. The Mercury Awards have been bestowed on an annual basis since 1987, honoring internationally outstanding achievements in the different fields of professional communications. The prizes were now presented to the award winners at the historic Union League Club in New York.

In the competitive Best Design category, Henkel’s Corporate Calendar, developed each year by an international project team to reflect a new motto, was given a silver award. Henkel’s Corporate Design Compass, a practical guide providing important and useful information on all issues relating to Corporate Design, was also granted silver in the Best Brand Identity category. Moreover, Henkel was honored with a bronze award for its global design concept for publications in the field of human resources. Last but not least, the jury bestowed a special “Honors“ prize on Henkel for its Corporate Design system, which is at the disposal of all employees as a comprehensive tool and design basis ensuring a globally unified implementation of the company’s Corporate Identity.

“The three awards and the special prize clearly demonstrate that we have reached the top echelons on an international basis as regards our corporate identity and corporate design“, says Ernst Primosch, Corporate Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications at Henkel, in commenting on the company’s successful performance at the renowned design and communications award competition. “We are particularly pleased at our very good rankings in this American prize competition, which received about 1000 entries from close to 20 countries“, adds Volker Krug, Head of Corporate Identity. “This is due to the fact that the USA plays a leading global role in the communications branch. Their professionalism in the field is particularly pronounced and trend-setting“.
