Henkel successfully completed refinancing of 700 million euros credit facility

On 22 March 2010, Henkel successfully completed the refinancing of its 700 million euros five-year tranche of the company’s 2.1 billion euros revolving credit facility signed in April 2005. The existing 1.4 billion euros seven-year tranche will remain in place. Banco Santander S.A., BNP Paribas SA, Citigroup Global Markets Limited, Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft, Deutsche Bank AG, The Royal Bank of Scotland plc, and UniCredit Bank AG acted as Bookrunners in the transaction.

The facility represents an integral part of the overall financing strategy of Henkel providing flexible liquidity for the company.

The facility was significantly oversubscribed. “The success of the deal clearly demonstrates Henkel’s standing in the capital markets,” commented Henkel CFO Lothar Steinebach. A total of 17 national and international banks participated reflecting the global reach of Henkel’s activities.
