Henkel in Dubai
Opening Ceremony in Dubai
The building complex in the over seven square kilometer wide Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) combines Arabic and futuristic style elements. Three floors of the building are now the new address of Henkel in the United Arabic Emirates. After more than 15 years of separate locations, U-K, U-W and U-A can combine their services inside the same building to react faster and more efficient to customer needs. At the opening ceremony, the chairman of the DSO Authority, Dr. Mohammed Al Zarroni, welcomed the employees in their new location. Together with Jan-Dirk Auris, Head of Adhesive Technologies (U-A), they cut the obligatory red ribbon.
Further honored guests of the event were Simone Bagel-Trah, Chairwomen of the Shareholders' Committee and of the Supervisory Board of Henkel, a number of top managers from all business units and from DSO. Peter Scherer, President of Henkel in the Arab States (GCC), recapitulated in his speech the continuous growth of Henkel in the region. Also in the future, Henkel continues a steady expansion of the business.
Jan-Dirk Auris described in his presentation the current situation and the future development of the company, particularly in North Africa, the Middle East and other emerging markets. During the following company tour, all invitees could get an impression of the new facilities and the diverse task of the local employees.
