New Henkel Logistics Center
Once the logistics center is opened in April 2012, it will be one of the most technologically advanced facilities in Russia. As part of the company’s commitment to implement ecologically compatible logistics solutions, the new logistics center is designed to reduce greenhouse emissions and ensure the most prudent use of natural resources by optimizing its logistics operations and reducing freight traffic by several hundred thousand kilometers each year. As a result, CO2 emissions are expected to be reduced by 366 tons annually.
The new facility will also improve the quality of service provided to business partners, including product availability and on-time delivery of goods. “Delivery of high-quality service to our partners is the key to driving sustainability along our value chain and in all areas of business and life. We support them with our products and expertise”, says Peter Guenther, President Henkel Russia.
