A great place to work
For over 50 years in Mexico, Henkel has demonstrated its commitment to the market, employees and especially to its partners as part of its sustainability strategy and corporate values. Based on these established principles, Henkel developed and implemented several initiatives during 2011 and thanks to these initiatives Henkel in Mexico was certified by the Great Place to Work Institute.
This certification, which is valid for one year, assessed various aspects of workplace values such as credibility, respect, pride, companionship and impartiality. The results reflect the commitment of the company to offering an excellent workplace, with clear opportunities for professional development and an optimal working environment.
The programs focused on three major areas: 1) Leadership, 2) Diversity and Inclusion, and 3) Integration and Communication. They have implemented actions that help to balance life and work (extension of maternity and paternity days, conventions, home-office, etc.), Programs for leadership development (surveys, evaluations, etc.) and improved internal communication measures (tournaments, meetings with senior executives, distribution of benefits, among many other things).
According to the Great Place to Work Institute, “a great place to work is one where people trust in their company, feel pride in their work and enjoy with their co-workers”. Therefore, this certification confirms the fact that Henkel Mexico workers must be proud of working at Henkel on one hand. On the other hand Henkel’s management strive to achieve credibility in order to win the trust of its workers because business success can not be achieved without employees, and therefore it is necessary to provide professional development opportunities, adequate balanced labor and offer the personnel a suitable working environment.
