P3 – Cleaners. High quality alkali, acid and neutral aqueous cleaners for efficient process-, parts- and maintenance cleaning. One of the latest additions to the P3 portfolio Is the Neutracare 3000 series: a demulsifying neutral cleaner enabling extended bath life times and thus reducing chemicals consumption and process cost.
1894
First registration of the P3 trademark.
1918
The brand is first used to sell animal feed products until the mid 1920’s.
1929
P3 market launch as water-soluble industrial cleaners.
1930
P3 is marketed as a process optimization solution promising time & cost savings as well as health & safety improvements.
1932
First foreign subsidiary in Switzerland. P3 is sold in 24 European countries.
1933
Application for first P3 patent.
1935
first P3 aluminum cleaners are launched.
1937
A microbiological laboratory for P3 is created in Düsseldorf.
1955
With the acquisition of Gerhard Collardin GmbH, Henkel starts activities in the phosphating field.
1959
Launch of neutral and environmentally friendly cleaners for the automotive industry.
1961
First international P3 activities outside Europe.
1970
Expansion of the product range to include engineering equipment.
1971
Separation into metalworking and food & beverage business (F&B). F&B is a JV with Ecolab from 1990 and it is finally sold in 2001.
1973
P3 starts activities with metalworking fluids.
2002
Extension of the product range into the electronics.
