We contribute to the United Nations “Millennium Development Goals“

In 2000, heads of state and government leaders from 189 countries agreed on eight development goals, known as the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, which are to be reached by 2015. Henkel also makes contributions to the attainment of these goals, and as a clear signal of its commitment, the company joined the United Nations Global Compact in 2003.
In particular, we contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals through our social engagement initiative. More than half of the projects of our employees and retirees are in emerging and developing countries. MIT projects concentrate on the eradication of extreme poverty, universal primary education, reducing child mortality, and fighting AIDS and other diseases.
