Henkel Day centers on sustainability
The new Henkel sustainability strategy was launched one year ago. “Achieving more with less” – this is the idea at the heart of the new strategy. By 2030, the company wants to triple the value it creates through its business operations in relation to their ecological footprint. In order to achieve this goal – known in short as “Factor 3” – the company has defined three strategic principles: products, partners, and people. Through their commitment and know-how, all 47,000 Henkel employees throughout the world make a critical contribution to successfully implementing the new sustainability strategy. The aim of all the activities on Henkel Day is, via an interactive format, to give employees a better understanding of the key components of the sustainability strategy and our successes to date. At the Düsseldorf site, for instance, there will be a sustainability quiz, while an array of culinary surprises will be on offer in the canteen.
The new “Henkel Sustainability Video” will be released on the day itself. This short film highlights the topic of sustainability at Henkel from numerous perspectives and describes the individual milestones en route to achieving our common sustainability targets for 2030.
Sustainability has always been a matter of importance at Henkel. Indeed, a focus on sustainable products, technologies, and services is anchored deep in the five corporate values. “Maintaining a balance between economic success, protection of the environment, and social responsibility has been fundamental to our corporate culture for decades,” emphasizes Henkel CEO Kasper Rorsted.
