Again top award for Henkel in the US communications competition

Platinum for Henkel’s annual report
In this year’s competition for the world’s best annual report, Henkel was recognized with the LACP 2007 Vision Award and was placed first in the competition category “Consumer – Personal” – ahead of Procter & Gamble, Swedish manufacturer SCA (Tempo tissues), American corporation Kimberly-Clark and Unilever from the Netherlands.
The jury, which comprised international communications experts, awarded Henkel’s publication 98 out of a possible 100 points. Henkel obtained the maximum score of 10 points each not only for the assessment criterion Report Financials but also for Report Cover, Report Narrative, Creativity, Message Clarity, and Information Accessibility. This result puts the Henkel publication in 23rd place in the overall rankings for the “Top 100 Annual Reports 2007”, signifying an improvement of five places over last year’s standing. All in all, the LACP scrutinized and evaluated just under 3,000 entries from over 20 countries.
“Once again this excellent result is extremely gratifying and shows that, besides our brands and technologies, our publications too satisfy the highest quality standards,” said Ernst Primosch, Corporate Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications at Henkel, commenting on the positive outcome. “Winning this award inspires us to produce a top-class annual report next year as well.”
