21 teams from all over the world at “Henkel Innovation Challenge”

Hair styling in the year 2050 

21 student teams from 30 countries around the world took part in the international final of the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” in Düsseldorf. The students had three days in which to showcase their innovative concepts to a panel of Henkel managers. The jury ultimately selected the team from Croatia as having submitted the best product vision for the year 2050. Daren Perincic and Dominik Benger, who are studying at the „Rochester Institute of Technology Croatia“, are this year’s winners of the Henkel Innovation Challenge. In the final, their idea for a revolutionary hairstyling product saw off the concepts entered by their international rivals.

Student Visionaries take up the Challenge 

The “Henkel Innovation Challenge” moves on to the next round. Students from 30 countries altogether are presenting their visionary ideas and concepts at the national finals, which are currently taking place all over the world. The winning team of each national final will compete in the international final.

Wanted: Enthusiastic students, visionary ideas and compelling concepts 

Coinciding with the start of the new academic year, Henkel’s international student competition – the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” – kicks off once again. For the seventh time, Henkel calls on students from all over the world to submit their visionary ideas and concepts for new Henkel products and technologies. Under the slogan “Create. Learn. Grow.”, student teams from a total of 30 countries are invited to submit their innovative and sustainable ideas by December 11, 2013 at www.henkelchallenge.com. A special focus will be on countries in emerging markets such as Brazil, Turkey, China and Russia.

The winners of the sixth edition of the Henkel Innovation Challenge (HIC) met Kasper Rorsted in his office in Düsseldorf and had the opportunity to ask the CEO all their questions.

Product idea 2050: “Syoss BREATHE” 

The international final of the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” in Shanghai saw 18 student teams from all over the world competing against one another. The students had three days in which to showcase their visionary ideas and themselves to a panel of Henkel managers. The jury ultimately selected the team from Germany as having submitted the best product vision for the year 2050. Susann Tiffany Leuchtmann, who is currently studying at the Copenhagen Business School, and Niels Henning Adler from the University of Mannheim are this year’s winners of the “Henkel Innovation Challenge”. In the final, the duo’s idea, “Syoss BREATHE” – a photosynthesis hair care product line – saw off the concepts entered by their international rivals to secure first place.

Best student teams compete in Shanghai 

The international final of the student competition titled “Henkel Innovation Challenge” is due to take place in China’s second largest metropolis from March 18 to March 20, with teams from around the world. Among others, teams from China, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico and Russia will compete against each other in Shanghai. In total 18 international teams, each consisting of two students, will be competing against each other at the showdown in Shanghai.

Students gear up for Henkel Innovation Challenge 6 in 2013  

Students from 27 countries have registered for Henkel’s sixth student competition, the “Henkel Innovation Challenge”. The task for the student participants in the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” is to develop a concept for a Henkel brand in alignment with Henkel’s sustainability strategy, and according to the vision and market needs in 2050. This year’s competition takes place under the motto “Triple the value you create. Create a sustainable world”. Preparations for the regional and national finals are currently underway, during which selected student duos will vie for a ticket to the international finals. The winners will represent their countries or regions at the final in Shanghai, China from March 18-20, 2013.

Henkel’s international student competition has started 

The sixth annual “Henkel Innovation Challenge” kicks off this September. Students from 27 countries are invited to participate. The task for the participants in the “Henkel Innovation Challenge” is to develop a concept for an innovative and sustainability-related product or technology for a Henkel brand, according to the vision and market needs in 2050. Interested students can register until December 12, at www.henkelchallenge.com.

Henkel Announces Winner of 5th Annual Henkel Innovation Challenge  

Cheung Hoi Fai and Sun Yi, both from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, won 1st prize in the fifth annual Henkel Innovation Challenge (HIC) with their innovative idea for the year 2030. Their Loctite Watts product makes it possible to convert heat waste energy into useful power when applied between the components of a special electronic device. The Chinese student duo beat out nineteen other teams from around the world in the HIC International Finals which took place last week in Warsaw, Poland.

Henkel on the lookout for tomorrow’s visionaries

Polish team wins student competition 

Laundry that gets done in an instant with no noise and with total ecological compatibility while hanging in the wardrobe in a kind of clothes bag – it could all come true with a detergent of the future called Persilan Oxygen. At least, that is the idea put forward by Anna Szarecka und Anna Szpot of Warsaw School of Economics, Poland. The two students made a powerful case with their innovative concept for a Henkel product for the year 2050, winning the Henkel Innovation Challenge in the process. And they can be proud of their feat for, having come out top in the international final of this student competition in Berlin, they have seen off some of the best teams the world has to offer.

Young talents compete in international competition 

New semester, new challenge – for the fourth year in a row, Henkel is organizing another round in its successful student competition. The task: to develop a product for a Henkel brand for the year 2050. For the first time, this year sees teams from 14 European countries and also from the Asia-Pacific region taking part. And the team adjudged to be the best in this international competition can look forward to a ticket for a trip around the world.

German students take first place 

Eleven teams, one objective: to win the Henkel Innovation Challenge. At the international final of Henkel’s student competition in Amsterdam (Netherlands), exceptionally well prepared teams presented their creative ideas for the year 2050 – leaving the company’s top managers on the jury no easy task in selecting the winners.
