Help for flood victims

Henkel supports relief effort in Central and Eastern Europe

Henkel has provided goods to the value of 1.3 million euros to help those affected by the floods in Germany, Austria, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary. In addition, employees were given leave to participate in the relief work in the flooded areas. As Dr. Ulrich Lehner, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company comments, "For Henkel, supporting the victims of the catastrophic flooding was a natural response. Henkel considers that it has a responsibility to help in such situations."

The products contributed include Henkel detergents and household cleaners, toiletries, adhesives and sealants.In response to the many requests from employees and former employees, Henkel also started a collection, which has so far realized more  than 250,000 euros

The Company will add its own contribution to the sum collected and will channel the money to those who have suffered most from the flooding.
