Occupational Accidents: Status 2009

Occupational accidents are registered using a globally uniform reporting system. To prevent occupational accidents Henkel employs company-wide instruments and programs. They are based on the worldwide corporate standards for safety, health and environment. Their implementation is checked by independent auditors from Henkel headquarters. In 2009, 99 percent of Henkel employees were covered. Since 2007, employees of external companies who work at Henkel sites and are directly contracted by Henkel were included in our reporting:
In 2006, 2007 and 2009 no fatal accidents were suffered by an employee of Henkel, or by an employee of an external company who was carrying out work for Henkel at a Henkel site. Sadly, a Henkel employee died in a plane crash in the USA while on a business trip.
