The Henkel Brand Stands
Each year the racetrack is transformed into a Henkel festival park for one day. Last year, visitors to the popular “Brands Paddock” were able to experience Henkel brands and innovations in numerous hands-on events featuring all three business sectors: Laundry & Home Care, Cosmetics/Toiletries and Adhesive Technologies.
Show styling and pamper program …
Particularly popular with the ladies were the hair styling consultations from Henkel experts. Each visitor had the opportunity to be "Race Day" styled and received information about the new Schwarzkopf trend colors from computer simulations.
Visitors could also have individual consultations on skin type and skin care. The small, but professionally equipped beauty studio ensured an undisturbed atmosphere for these pamper sessions.
From Somat to Persil – the Henkel world of detergents and cleaning products …
With valuable tips on cleaning difficult stains, unusual insights aided by a transparent dishwasher, and professional color advice for every washing situation, the array of Henkel brands ensured that no question from interested consumers was left unanswered. As in the previous year there was again a prize draw with attractive prizes. The "White Lady", created in 1922 and Persil's most famous advertising image, and the Clever Fox from the Spee advertisements entertained the crowds at the Race Day.
The man who didn't fall to earth …
The "Hanging Man" gave a real buzz to the proceedings. With the tag line “Only Pattex sticks like Pattex” visitors were able to see for themselves that the upside-down man in the TV adverts is not a trick. The Adhesive Technologies business sector also took this opportunity to present the world premiere of Pattex Ultra Gel instant adhesive. Visitors were able to test the strength and flexibility of this new product for themselves.
A wheel of fortune with all Henkel adhesive brands as prizes was an additional attraction for visitors.
Even the young ones were able to experience the practical world of adhesives on Race Day. With a qualified instructor in attendance, children were able to let their creativity run wild, expressing through art and craft their ideas on all things “horsy”. With the Pritt Stick in the new Simpsons design and Pritt craft adhesive, they found making successful works of art truly “child’s play”.
