Market Development Intern (Summer 2019)

YOUR ROLE

  • Assist in the development of market specific collateral (literature, demonstrations, etc) to support new product launches and application promotions
  • Conduct in-depth segment research on accounts, products, market drivers and trends
  • Develop target account map(s). Activities include development of target account list, validation, web research prospects, and customize target lists by sales rep, region or device type
  • Assist with the Regional/Territory market assessments in the respective target market
  • Conduct phone interviews with internal Henkel sales partners, as well as target industry prospects and clients
  • Participate in team meetings relevant to the target segment including new product development, segment team calls, etc.
  • Take an active role in the intern group project (project varies by year and needs) with an expected output in the form of a deliverable or presentation; interview a variety of functions at Henkel aligned to your future interests to gain an understanding of the function and how you might fit into a similar role


YOUR SKILLS

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree Program in a business discipline and entering Junior Year, with a minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills
  • Detailed, organized and results oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks, priorities and deadlines
