An excellent opportunity has arisen to join as a Customer Marketing Manager.  Reporting into the Head of Customer Marketing, your key objectives will be to execute & deliver our category management & trade marketing strategies & objectives within the UK Henkel Beauty Care division.

Working across our hair & body care brands within Grocery, Ireland & Key Accounts.

The key challenges will include:

  • To be the company expert in our categories.
  • Build relationships with internal teams (leadership team, sales, marketing and supply chain), international colleagues, & buyers/category managers within the retailer base to maximise Henkel & customer business returns.
  • To work closely with NAMs & marketing to create account specific selling stories for our brands with value adding insight to ensure our success at range reviews.
  • Delivering category and trade marketing objectives across the UK retailer base.
  • To fully utilise market data & account insight to shape business thinking on commercial and trade sector planning.
  • Lead and champion shelf excellence, set objectives and deliver against these. 
  • Execution of our promotional plans across retailers in order to bring our brands to life in store.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Fully conversant with the latest principles in category management
  • An understanding of trade marketing; experience in trade marketing an advantage
  • Knowledge of National Account Management and/or Brand Management would be advantageous
  • Degree educated with at least 5 years experience in a Category Management position in an FMCG environment (H&B experience an advantage)
  • Analytical and highly skilled in the effective use of IRI and Kantar data; strong IT skills
  • Requires strong strategic planning skills and the ability to develop thought out plans
  • Strength in influencing to be able to convince internal stakeholders of the best direction to move in and to sell plans into retailers
  • An effective communicator, confident and outgoing, with highly impactful presentation skills
  • Commercial acumen; proven track record of making sound decisions with awareness for business needs
