Department Description: Henkel as the global leader in adhesives, sealants and surface-treatment technologies for the Transport & Metal Industries, creates competitive advantage for our customers along the entire value chain of can manufacturing (from processes for the forming, treatment and coating of cans to sealing of can lids and closures). Our customers are leading manufacturers of metal containers for food, beer & beverages and technical products. We are looking for a Business Development Manager for the Coatings business in Europe for within in the Strategic Business Unit Metals (AAM).

YOUR ROLE

  • Execute Henkel’s growth strategy in Coatings in Europe as part of a dedicated coatings team
  • Closely collaborate with Coatings Business Development Team to identify and develop new customer potentials
  • Execute local sales plans (short, mid & long term) and tactics to acquire new accounts and projects and maintain and develop existing customer


YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry/ Engineering (preferred in “Coating Technology”) or Economics with expertise in technical sales/ project management in the coatings industry
  • Ideally 5+ years total job experience in the industry; 2+ years job experience technical sales
  • Background in Can making industry (manufacturing process, coatings, surface treatment)
  • Strong technical expertise in Coatings, ideally packaging coatings
  • Proven track record in sales, developing new business and acquiring new accounts
  • Strong sense of ownership, entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality
  • Willingness to intensive travel
  • Experience in working effectively in cross-functional and international teams
  • Fluent in English and ideally in one other major EU language (German, French)
