  • Maintain trademark docket.
  • Conduct preliminary and detailed trademark searches, and related client counseling
  • Prepare, file and prosecute trademark applications (US and ex-US).
  • Assume primary responsibility for product packaging/label review for trademark and trade dress issues.
  • Counsel internal clients regarding legal issues relating to internet and social media.
  • Work with Legal/IP team to draft trademark-related licenses and other IP- related contracts.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry and legal best practices with regard to IP, particularly trademarks, trade dress, design patents and copyrights
  • Serve as first point of contact with Legal/IP team for other functional groups within the company.


  • Bachelor’s Degree and Paralegal training/certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of Trademark Paralegal experience in an intellectual property environment required.
  • Experience in clearing trademarks/trade dress, preparing/filing/prosecuting trademark applications, and licensing and enforcing intellectual property rights required.
  • Strong understanding of USPTO trademark application and registration process, statement of use procedures, and renewal requirements.
  • Understanding of use of US and international on-line trademark searching databases required.
  • Advertising claims review a plus.
  • Experience in legal docket management and willingness to master a new docketing program required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project management skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Strong problem solving and prioritization skills.
