The Director of Health and Welfare Benefits will lead the administration of Henkel’s health, welfare, and wellness programs in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada.

YOUR ROLE

  • Oversee the health, welfare, and wellness benefits for active employees, terminated employees, and retirees through the administration of a diverse portfolio of programs.

  • Responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of existing benefits policies, guidelines and procedures, as well as recommending changes based on the shifting needs of Henkel’s workforce and market conditions.

  • Bring ongoing knowledge of the marketplace and recommend strategic improvements to create innovative and best in class programs.

  • Lead and mentor the health, welfare, and wellness benefit team.

  • Lead relationships with 30+ health, welfare, and wellness vendors by ensuring exceptional service is delivered to Henkel and that programs are implemented accurately, effectively, and efficiently. Ensure that providers/vendors are held accountable to contracted service levels.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Global and North American peer teams including Payroll, Finance, IT, Legal, and HR Operations. Provide subject matter excellence and guidance to HR partners, stakeholders and participants throughout the organization.

  • Ensure compliance, including close partnership with Legal to draft and maintain existing Plan Documents governing Henkel’s benefit plans, and by supporting the submission of all regulatory requirements including ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, the Internal Revenue Code, and more.

  • Implement comprehensive communications and branding strategies for new plan rollouts and for the modification of existing communications.

  • Identify and implement enhanced automation and technological services in both plan administration and tools/services available to participants.

 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 10+ years of experience with U.S. Benefits. Self-funded health plan management experience preferred.

  • Ability to analyze and compile complex data and present effective summaries and reports. Strong financial, analytical and auditing skills and experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to build effective programs.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • CEBS/Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Certification a plus.

  • SAP experience a plus.
