  • Responsible for Manufacturing and Quality support, troubleshooting and improvement activities via continuous improvement aimed at optimizing film product/method/service quality, improving film process capability, and improving customer satisfaction through the use of advanced quality tools and problem-solving techniques.

  • Demonstrates expertise in both lean and six sigma principles, and functions as a team leader for problem solving and mentoring/training junior engineers and technicians.

  • Within a team environment, will be a change agent capable of influencing and enabling others to apply correct quality tool(s) and problem-solving techniques for the situation

  • Complete 8D process and reports to troubleshoot and resolve customer complaints, internal product/process failures, equipment malfunctions and other plant support issues

  • Lead continuous improvement projects requiring members spanning across multi functional teams and act as Engineering Team Facilitator when assigned


  • BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry / Polymer Science or BS in Electrical/Industrial Engineering will also be considered.

  • 5 -6 years of engineering experience in Project Management, Process Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering in semiconductor packaging or chemical processing; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Six Sigma Green belt certification preferred, Black Belt certification a plus.

  • Film mixing, coating, converting and punch press experience preferred.

  • Chemical processing experience preferred.
