YOUR ROLE

  • The Quality Manager must be a self-motivated, hands-on problem solver that can work to ensure that all plant processes meet internal and external requirements. 
  • Supervision of Quality Control lab personnel (salaried and hourly), maintaining quality records, acting as the primary contact and leading initiatives to resolve customer complaints and to maintain current business and positive customer relationships.
  • This position will oversee process and quality assurance protocols, educate and enforce compliance initiatives, ensure that appropriate documentation related to quality, process, validation, management of change and CAPA is complete, interface with customers during audits, ensure that appropriate methods are established, maintained and routinely modified, recommend lean production process initiatives, and serve as the source for communicating quality initiatives to all operations functions in the facilities. 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Lead Cross-functional Quality Improvement Teams/Projects. Develop plans for continuous improvements for the lab, plant, and product lines and ensure all team members are completing assigned tasks.
  • Work with manufacturing and other functional groups during problem solving investigations to determine true root cause and corrective actions to eliminate repeat complaints.
  • Lead investigations to troubleshoot customer problems/complaints, plant issues, and reject batches. Determine root cause and corrective actions and develop project plans to drive change.
  • Visit customers to outline complaint resolution initiatives, root cause and corrective actions, and timelines for improvements.
  • Supervise Quality Engineers and Lab personnel at the sites.
  • Assume Integrated Management System Coordinator role.
  • Assume Food Safety Team Leader Role at all Hot Melt Sites.
  • Coordinate internal/external audits and customer visits.
  • Utilize Six Sigma methodology, SQC, and SPC to conduct studies
