Job Summary:
Repair, maintain, and modify production and support equipment on all operating lines to maximize productivity and quality including changeovers, set-ups, installation, and running adjustments on the production lines.

Essential Functions:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain all packaging and support equipment to optimize efficiency and quality.
Conducts line changeovers and makes necessary set-up and adjustments as required by the production schedule.
Perform line alteration, rebuilding as necessary.
Assist Engineering on equipment installations.
Repair and fabricate parts as required.
Oil, lubricate, and check equipment and production lines.
Operate forklift trucks as required to move equipment or materials.
Assist and train team members in simple adjustments and maintenance tasks.
Perform all other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
High School graduate or equivalent, ability to read blueprints, possess mechanical skills and work experience. 
Provide own hand tools. 
Initiative/motivation and communication skill required.

Physical Requirements:
The position is in the factory and could involve standing, walking and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  Occasionally this position may require the lifting and/or moving of more than 60 pounds.  All lifting must comply with OSHA standards.    

Working Conditions:
The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas where under certain conditions the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, and hygienic precautions, such as hairnets, are required.  The work environment is not climate controlled.  Noise level in the work environment is usually normal to moderate.  Regular attendance is required.  Overtime may be required.  It is the responsibility of each employee to conduct tasks in a safe and efficient manner complying with all local, state, and federal safety, health, and environmental regulations, company program standards, company policies, and special safety concerns while protecting yourself, the organization, and the environment.  You are ultimately responsible for your safety and well-being.
