Product Development Manager Building Materials (d/f/m)

YOUR ROLE 

  • Leading fundamental technology product development (TPD) projects within technologies of the Construction SBU with main focus on new dry mix technologies, such as new binders
  • Leading and working on selected product development projects (PDP) and management of change (MOC) in the field of Construction categories tiling and flooring
  • Leading the projects and conducting the analytical part for TDP and PDP, this includes the technical directive for PD team members
  • Building up and taking the lead of cooperation with external know-how partners (e.g. universities, research Institutes, raw material suppliers etc.)
  • Screening for innovative ideas in the field of inorganic binders relevant to Henkel
  • Screening new innovative raw materials
  • Screening and establishing new testing methods

YOUR SKILLS

  • University degree in Chemistry, Mineralogy or a similar field with a focus on inorganic binders
  • Ideally several years of experience in product development of building chemistry products, but also newcomers from university are welcome  
  • Profound knowledge in mineralogy and setting mechanisms of cement-based, alumina-cement-based and gypsum-based building materials
  • Experience in cellulose ethers as additives
  • Knowledge of the relevant essential analytical methods for determining the mineralogy and microstructure of mineral-based building materials
  • Fluent English language skills, German advantageous
  • Team spirit and project management 
  • Analytical skills and an innovative mindset
