Junior Credit Manager (m/f)

Within Finance department and in close collaboration with the Head of Credit Management and our Shared Service Center teams, you will be responsible for risk mitigation for a portfolio of customers within Benelux, France as well as some customer is EIMEA region, in accordance to Henkel credit policy and operational guidelines. You will perform risk assessment of our customers, gather and analyze appropriate data, give recommendations and take decisions on the credit risks with respect to internal rules and decision matrix. In addition, you will cooperate with Sales, Customer service and other operational departments with the aim to address process issues, improve Account receivables figures and reduce Cash net Working Capital. You will be the point of contact for Business in Order to Cash related topics.

YOUR ROLE

  • Perform risk assessment of new and existing customers and make recommendations on the appropriate credit limits and risk categories (within the decision matrix).
  • Take decisions on blocked orders (within the decision matrix).
  • Interact with internal stakeholders (Customer Service, Sales) in connection to blocked orders treatment and credit analysis.  
  • Take care of external collection and insolvencies activities: follow up internally, with external lawyers, with collection agency. 
  • Follow up on bad debt provisions (IFRS). 
  • Handle incoming customer related invoices / complains. 
  • Participate in internal and external audit in connection to Credit Management activities. 
  • Participate in projects or special assignments if required.

YOUR SKILLS

  • A university degree in Economics / business school diploma and 2 years of experience in credit risk analysis would be an asset. 
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems (Windows Office, SAP) is required.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch and French. Any other European language is an asset.
  • Knowledge of risk mitigation solutions (for instance Credit Insurance) is a nice to have but not required.
  • Good influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team as well as individually. 
  • Attentive to detail as well as ability to treat matters with a helicopter view approach.
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Digital skills and proactive attitude toward innovation.
