Customer Technical Support Expert for Metal Can Coatings

YOUR ROLE

•Review and understand complex customer processes and projects and
 give sound application and technology advice to customers, field sales
 representatives, and other Henkel personnel.
•Use Henkel CRM (ACE) and work with sales representatives to ensure
 that the projects are up to date. Maintain neat and accurate records
 and reports of work performed on projects.
•Travel to customers required to support trials and on-site analysis and
 advice as required.
•Maintain clean, organized and safe laboratories: maintenance and
 calibration of laboratory equipment, proper level of Henkel products
 and laboratory supplies, proper chemical labeling and storage
 practices, in general ensure the laboratory operates according to
 Henkel Standards.
•Maintain appropriate records on technical information regarding Henkel
 products, processes and competitors.
•Purchase equipment for the laboratories, special materials for projects
 and general laboratory supplies (including Henkel products).


YOUR SKILLS

  • BS Chemistry or Engineering Degree is required. 
  • Knowledge and experience with coatings, metal packaging coatings experience preferred. 
  • Must be able to write accurate, comprehensive technical reports on customer trials, complaints, etc. Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary. 
  • Internal and external networking is required to complete tasks. 
  • The ability to think and work under minimal supervision is essential, while keeping teammates up to date on on-going activities. 
  • A proficient use of computer software as well as mobile devices for communication, word processing, graphics and spread sheets is required.
