Senior Manager, Shopper Marketing

The Senior Manager, Shopper Marketing, will assist in establishing the shopper marketing footprint for the Beauty Retail organization with a focus in the following areas:

·Brand Building: brand pyramid; visual identity; look, tone, and feel; brand history with data & analytics (ROI); brand consumer profiles; communication message strategy; etc.

·Shopper Insights: path to purchase; category and brand benefits & barriers; white spaces; etc.

·Agency Management: best practices; standard brief; breakthrough creative solutions; etc.

·Customer Team Marketing: development of shopper plans as part of JBP; buyer and marketer relationships (regular cadence of in-person meetings no less than 2x/year, ideally more); retailer shopper profiles; retail specific platforms; strategic advisor between sales and marketing (find win-win scenarios, educate retailer on category, massive programs with customers)

·Lead on Priority Accounts: Walmart, Target & Ulta

·Organization Transformation: internal exposure to senior levels of organization (including digital and eComm); managers on priority accounts; opportunity to develop beauty scale; data & analytics (ROI); coordinators for non-strategic work

·Leadership: influential leader on shopper marketing team, at key accounts, and with priority brands; goal of continued progression within the organization


·Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred, with 5-10+ years of CPG experience within Brand Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Customer Marketing, or a related function

·Ability to influence cross functional teams with thought-leadership in the areas of: brand building, consumer insights, marketing innovation, retailer specific platforms, and best practices.

·Brings high-level strategic thinking, strong attention to detail, a keen sense of creativity, and a high degree of comfort working in a team environment.

·Ability to lead the development of breakthrough creative solutions with general media, digital and promotion agency partners.

·Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external business partners by working collaboratively, demonstrating openness to and respect for others’ opinions and points.
