The Director of Tax- Planning, M&A and International is an experienced tax professional responsible for all aspects of tax planning, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and international tax working with both internal and external teams. 

Primary Responsibilities:    

  • Identify. evaluate and implement domestic and international tax planning strategies.
  • Document and defend tax planning strategies on audit. 
  • Conduct, assist and / or supervise tax due diligence for acquisitions including contract review.
  • Manage international portion of US tax returns including FTC, Subpart F and GILTI.
  • Monitor company’s transfer pricing policies and related documentation.
  • Oversee special projects as necessary (Benchmarking studies, valuations, etc.).
  • Research and provide tax advice on various tax matters.
  • Monitor and communicate developments in tax and regulatory legislation.
  • Train, mentor and develop other members of Henkel’s Tax team.
  • Manage outside tax consultants and advisors.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Advanced degree (JD, LLM, or Master of Tax) is highly recomended
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant corporate tax experience with public accounting firm or large corporation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent Project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Digital skills a plus
