Demand Planning Manager

It is responsible for the demand forecasting activities associated with other teams internally amongst Sales, Marketing, Trade Marketing, Controlling, Supply Chain & Supply Planning and externally with customers, for both Mainland China and Hongkong.And also responsible for FG inventory control (within %NES of quarterly target), goods in transaction, FG aging management, customer order fulfillment, suitable safety stock for key customers, out of stock analysis, channel accuracy analysis and continues improvement of forecasting and planning.

  • Develop and maintain statistical forecast (APO) model for all business channels incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from Sales, Marketing, Trade-Marketing and Controlling with both top-down and bottom-up dimensions
  • Maintain and co-ordinate rolling 6-12 months demand forecast with potential urgent demand and NPI / Promotion projects between Business and Supply Planning
  • Owner of demand alignment meeting to pre-align the forecast based on the Risks and Opportunities input from Business
  • Lead S&OP meeting and supply alignment meeting, which is an important part of sales, inventory control and operational process
  • FG inventory management: %NES, safety stock, OOS & daily production scheduling review, stock allocation for key customers, stock allocation between CDC & RDCs, stock aging and over-stock analysis
  • Review the top bias (sales performance vs forecast) in order to take actions, adjust the demand and statistical model improvement where it is necessary
  • Co-ordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant / foreseeing variances and refine the forecast (model and demand) to reflect updated Sales and Marketing assumptions
  • Close communicate with local and global supply planning team, to ensure right production arrangement (quantity and deliver timing)
  • Weekly / monthly reports and continues improvement
  • Coaching and team management


  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Should have 3-5 years of experience in FMCG
  • Preferred language: English (Fluent) Chinese (Excellent)
  • Other skills: SAP, planning system, MS - Office
