YOUR ROLE

  • Lead the transformation of the site into a Henkel Center of Excellence for aerospace adhesive production.
  • Work with process development, R&D and technical teams to lead a successful scale up process of the aerospace product lines.
  • Work with the ATA business, supply chain, process development and technical teams, to lead the transfer of technologies to other sites and other regions to support the growth of the global aerospace steering unit
  • Leadership and development of the Bay Point site staff including selection, recruitment, hiring, and training, mentoring, coaching, and motivating employees.
  • Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers/supervisors to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a safe, ethical and environmentally sound manner.
  • Actively support and enforce the plant’s SHE standards, lead by example and maintain high standards to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company rules and regulations.
  •  Review plant goals and metrics against various quality, customer and regulatory standards and requirements to ensure consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Management of capital assets, including optimization and maintenance of capital productivity, capacity planning, expansion, & preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare and manage budgets with the goal of annual cost reductions without sacrificing safety or quality.  Implement cost effective systems for capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.

YOUR SKILLS

  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent years of experience and solid operations background in the chemical processing industry.
  • 7-12 years experience with a combination of technical and production assignments preferred.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process and continuous improvement programs and procedures.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of all Health, Safety and Environmental standards, particularly related to personnel and process safety, air, waste, and water compliance.
  • Solid project management skills, team leadership skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with labor union management and collective bargaining unit processes and policies.
