Warehouse Team Manager

YOUR ROLE

  • Maintains shipping, receiving, and transportation operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing company policies and procedures
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by ensuring that established security and safety procedures and protocols are followed and reviewed so that changes and/or upgrades can be made when needed
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, and conducting 5-S activities as needed to support
  • Oversee the scheduling of transportation in and out from outside storage of all raw material and finished goods
  • Coordinate with the safety manager the inspection of equipment and the scheduling of preventive maintenance checks; issue work orders for repair and prepare requisitions for replacement as needed
  • Achieves financial objectives by assisting senior management with preparing an annual warehouse budget; the scheduling of expenditures; review and recommend corrective actions when budgetary va

YOUR SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in business administration / supply chain management
  • 3-5 years previous experience in warehousing / logistics role
  • Prior experience with warehouse continuous improvement 
  • Prior experience laying out warehouse processes and writing warehouse policies / procedures
  • Experience working with ERP systems • Considerable knowledge of logistics theory, principles and techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret production documents/schedules, procedure manuals and safety rules.
  • Ability to make calculations such as freight estimates and dimensional weight.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience a plus
