Head of Market & Strategy APAC


The Adhesive Marketing and Strategy Group is a division within Henkel that is responsible for 1) developing / facilitating the execution of Adhesives strategic agenda and 2) systematically developing top talents regionally and globally. It is a global set up with the Global Teams leading five focus areas, and three Regional Strategy Groups based in Shanghai (APAC, short for AMA), Dubai (IMEA), Sao Paolo (LATAM).

We offer a unique platform to accelerate the development of both internal and external candidates for key strategic positions. Team members will spend 2 - 3 years in the program to work on identifying and delivering impactful projects while developing their leadership skills and career path within Henkel.  The projects are typically cross-SBUs/Function and a mix of country, regional and global initiatives.


  • Develop & coordinate short- & long-term strategy for APAC to capture market trends and impact growth / profitability
  • Participate and roll out global strategic initiatives to APAC
  • Facilitate planning sessions and drive change agenda to meet the strategic business units (SBUs) and function goals
  • Collaborate with senior management on all aspects of the organization’s business development policies and initiatives
  • Develop high potential employees
  • Partner with SBUs to support and drive implementation of series of projects in line with overall strategy
  • Identify & design projects w/ significant upside opportunity strategies for region, within current markets and new markets
  • Analyze & build different future scenarios to create new paths of business
  • Responsible for driving the development of AMA, including recruiting, career planning and people development
  • Lead a project team on a series of high-impact strategic objective
  • Large projects management and team management


  • Bachelor’s degree above in Management / Engineering / Science; MBA Preferred
  • Should have 8-10 years working experience in management consulting, or corporate strategy/strategic marketing, Chemical or related industries
  • Language Skills: English (Fluent)
  • Strategic planning from end to end: project proposal, analytics, insights and recommendations, business and execution plan
  • Strategic communications
  • Strong problem-solving skill: fact based, logical, structured and systematic
  • Track record of solid project management and senior stakeholder engagement in matrix organization
  • Managing project teams and coaching team members
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong at MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word)
  • Team collaboration
  • Open minded, humble and respect diversity / cultural differences
  • Proactive in personal development both business and leadership skills, open to feedback
