Assistant Brand Manager

YOUR ROLE

  • The role of the Assistant Brand Manager is to participate in developing marketing plans and sales forecasts and assist the Senior Brand Managr in translating them into operational and profit plans to achieve growth and sales objectives.
  • This position monitors profitability and performance of existing products and services.
  • Assists in the development and tracking of consumer marketing programs including free standing inserts, thematic events, regional coupons, in ad rebates, run of press newspaper coupons, direct mail, etc.
  • Evaluate past promotions to include cost per case redeemed, estimate cased moved and return on investment for the promotion dollars and an overall recommendation as to whether the promotion should be repeated or not.
  • Conduct analysis of marketplace performance by area (volume/share/profitability) and recommend required action.
  • Work with Sales Planning to implement programs.
  • Assists in the development of account specific marketing plans. 

YOUR SKILLS

  • BS/BA (Business, Marketing, Economics) and 1-2 years experience in consumer products marketing and/or sales.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills; working knowledge of marketing and financial terms.
  • Ability to understand and utilize custom and syndicated research data.
  • Proficiency with PC applications MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint.
