The Henkel North American Sr. Manager, Shopper Engagement is responsible for shopper engagement objectives, strategies, and KPIs measurement to win with our retailer partners.The role collaborates across a matrix of stakeholders across Sales, Shopper Insights, Marketing, and Media. This position reports to the Director, Consumer & Shopper Engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute shopper media plans that align with the shopper’s path to purchase, brand strategy and customer strategic plans that will drive profitable growth.
  • Serve as Shopper Marketing, Media, and Data Collection subject matter expert for brand and sales teams. Instill confidence as a trusted advisor by developing winning strategies and activation plans that garner incremental retailer support, e.g., feature and display.
  • Overseeing flawless execution of agency work. Conduct post program analysis and surface ROI as well as key learnings to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute shopper media plans that align with the shopper’s path to purchase, brand strategy and customer strategic plans that will drive profitable growth.
  • Work cross functionally across strategy, sales, and others to best enable stakeholders to maximize the ROI on spending.  This includes vetting campaigns with media agencies, assisting where possible with creative, setting and measuring against up front goals as well as getting alignment throughout the process with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Influence and propose investment levels with internal Brand and Sales Strategy Team to effectively drive demand and sales through these platforms.
  • Act as a thought leader in the market, driving an awareness of new Shopper Engagement Platforms, technologies, and methods in keeping the company apprised of current and future trends.
  • Co-development of annual media strategy, tactical, and measurement plans that drive category, brand and equity growth in support of the core strategies.


·Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field, MBA preferred, with 5-10+ years of CPG experience within Brand Management, Shopper Marketing, National/Shopper Media, Customer Marketing, or a related function

·Ability to influence cross functional teams with thought-leadership in the following areas:shopper media, brand building, consumer insights, media innovation, retailer specific platforms, and best practices.

·Brings high-level strategic thinking, strong attention to detail, project management, a keen sense of creativity, and a high degree of comfort working in a team environment.

·Ability to lead the development of breakthrough creative solutions with shopper media, digital and promotion agency partners.
