Purchasing Agent II - North America - Raw Materials

The Purchasing Agent II will execute local, national, regional, and global agreement programs for products or services consistent with company goals, procedures, and policies. This position will focus on obtaining maximum value for Henkel by managing cost, quality and service targets as outlined by purchasing management. This position will report within a matrix structure so strong organization and communication skills are required.

YOUR ROLE

  • Deliver results according to category team and regional/global targets.
  • Build and develop knowledge of markets; including supply base, industry information, and cost drivers.
  • Ability to lead projects via a cross-functional team and ability to align multifunctional resources to address and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Independently manage processes that include RFPs, tenders, reporting, and analytics
  • Leverage and deliver full purchasing program: global/best cost country sourcing, supply base management, risk management, contract management, and cash net working capital management.

YOUR SKILLS

  • MBA degree with at least 18 months experience or Undergraduate degree and with two years of related experience.
  • 3-4 years purchasing or equivalent experience; chemical industry experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of defining and resolving issues.
  • Proven analytical skills with knowledge in Excel, Power BI, SAP, and Tableau
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to independently work and manage projects.
