YOUR ROLE

  • The Process Engineer supervises and coordinates the activities of personnel in the manufacture of raw materials and finished goods at the St. Louis plant. Also responsible for keeping equipment operating efficiently in order to meet department goals and standards. Participates in meeting all operational goals for safety, quality, customer service, and cost control.
  • Provides technical support for process safety systems.
  • Work in a self-directed work environment assisting department personnel in the execution of their duties in conjunction with their qualifications and skills.
  • Conduct problem analysis and planning for improving core production processes across all shifts in critical measures (OEE, reliability, quality, cost).
  • Meet customer requirements in terms of quality, delivery and costs.
  • Provides technical support for process safety systems.
  • Participate in development and implementation of major initiatives (capital projects, formula changes, packaging changes)

YOUR SKILLS

  • BS/BA degree with preference for Chemical Engineering or related field with work experience that demonstrates technical skills, job knowledge, and personal characteristics listed in this position description.
  • Basic knowledge of Chemistry, experience in Sulfonation chemistry a plus
  • 2 years production/preventative engineering experience or the equivalent work experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Interpersonal Teamwork - demonstrates respect for others, resolves interpersonal conflicts, builds trust, is responsive to others’ needs, demonstrates high emotional intelligence and works well in a team environment.
