Senior eCommerce Manager



Henkel Beauty Care Retail (UK) is home to an impressive portfolio of market leading brands (Schwarzkopf, got2b, Live Colour, Colour Expert and Right Guard). An opportunity has arisen to lead the UK eCommerce team. Already hugely successful, the UK eCommerce team has delivered fast paced growth year on year and we are looking for an ambitious, results driven individual to continue to drive this journey.

Working in alignment with the UK Head of Digital and eCommerce and Sales Director, you and your team (2 direct reports) will develop strategies that maximise sales, win new customers and develop new routes to market.

You will have full P&L responsibility for pureplayers and marketplaces, and will act as expert consultant to the Sales team for omnichannel retailers.


  • Set, lead, implement and review the eCommerce strategy for Beauty Retail in alignment with the Head of Digital and eCommerce
  • Optimise eCommerce sales development and account profitability within agreed budgets & guidelines
  • Leverage data and insight to identify and deliver strategic and tactical eCommerce initiatives that will drive profitable growth in the eCommerce channel.
  • Build internal digital capability and eCommerce expertise throughout the business
  • Be the eCommerce evangelist within Beauty Care Retail & upskill the commercial team, making sure that external trends, opportunities, and threats are clearly recognised and acted upon
  • Report on progress and share best practice with Global and local teams to embed a culture of constant improvement
  • Full P&L responsibility for pureplay accounts and marketplaces, expert partner to sales team for omnichannel retailers. You will be expected to continue the substantial growth and concentration of eCommerce sales. Develop and deliver joint business plans and negotiate commercial terms
  • Develop an understanding of the eCommerce capabilities and opportunity for all customers
  • Lead the delivery of digital shelf excellence by improving product presence on partner websites including product detail page improvements and activation plans
  • Own and maintain digital tools and services such as Brandbank, Profitero, Bazaar Voice, EPOS trackers.
  • Embed the adoption,usage and maintenance of Henkel Beauty Care’s Product Information Tool and Digital Asset Management tool
  • Coach and develop 1 x eCommerce manager, and 1 x Digital apprentice
