Production Team Manager - Night Shift

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we are looking for individuals to join our team to assist with the production and distribution of products which are vital to our communities’ health and well-being.

As the Production Team Manager, you will lead the hiring, training, planning, assigning, development and performance management of 50+ direct reports and Team Members within assigned area of responsibility. Serve as first point of contact for, policies, performance and other employment-related issues in order to provide clarification, instruction, or solutions.


  • Responsible for implementation and achievement of Key Performance Indicators within each of the Five Pillars:Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Employee Engagement in assigned work area.
  • Ensures safe working environment and promotes safe working practices.Acts as Safety Champion by ensuring training is complete, use of equipment or installation cannot cause injury or incident. Proactively manages Incident Reporting and Investigation, creates an environment that encourages Near Miss reporting and takes resolution seriously.
  • Creates an environment that fosters associate involvement and personal growth; Encourages and maintains two-way communications with team members and others in the organization
  • Responsible for identification of cross training plans utilizing Skills and Training Matrix. Partners with Shift Owner and Value Stream Manager to identify staffing and cross training needs for production.
  • Prepares reports, analyzes data and makes recommendations for improving operations and problem solving.
  • Troubleshoots production process incidents, identifies root cause, identifies courses of action, decides optimal course of action and actively manage corrective measures and/or solution implementation.
  • Use various systems and tools for monitoring and optimization of performance, communicate status/expectations, and manage day to day activities.


  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Business or Engineering-related or equivalent experience, skills & training required or preferred.
  • 3-5 years direct supervision experience in a manufacturing (distribution for Logistics TM) environment required. 
  • Prefer knowledge of Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing processes, Green Belt or Black Belt Certification is a plus.
