YOUR ROLE

  • The Logistics Associate will have a basic chemical knowledge regarding chemical reactions, containers and labeling requirements in order to ship and receive chemical products, clean and test tote containers, pull finished product from production lines and warehouse for storage or shipping, and understand the DOT requirements involved in shipping small packages and repackaging for our Transportation and Metals business.
  • A Logistics associate may be assigned to any of the following areas: Shipping, Receiving, Line Pulling, Small Packaging, Tote Wash/Tote Test, Repack. 

YOUR SKILLS

  • Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and related experience.
  • Must have at least 1-3 years of shipping and/or receiving experience using an electric powered forklift to load and unload, move or stack materials or products in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Completion of a forklift certification program preferred.
  • Prior experience with barcodes.
  • Familiarity with DOT, IATA and carrier shipping requirements
  • Ability to rotate between the day, afternoon and midnight shift
  • Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment math test and an oral directions test.
